Today’s Daily Programme Can Be Found Here It was a glorious morning, clear blue skies and little wind with a sea as flat as a pancake. I’d woken early and opened the balcony curtains as they are very effecive blackouts, this allows us to wake slowly with the dawn, unless you’re lazy like me and sleep straight though until 8:45 and was nearly late for breakfast. Luckily I’m in and out of the shower in minutes and we were sitting down in the restaurant at 09;05. I love kedgeree and I’d asked the Head Waiter if it was possible to

Today’s Daily Programme Can Be Found Here The approach to Lisbon along the River Tagus is always spectacular, we didn’t have the glorious sunset today but that didn’t diminish it. We’d gained an hour overnight so it was very leisurly getting ready for breakfast. No kedgeree today, I had intended to have a light breakfast as we were going to have lunch out in Lisbon. It was possibly our last chance to get some sun before returning home, plus we needed to do some laundry, so the plan was to set off the laundry, then head up to the Grills
Today’s Daily Programme Can Be Found Here Our final port of call on this cruise behind us we are now heading north and back to winter, but we were clinging on to the last vestiges of summer with another beautiful day out on deck. First though we had breakfast to navigate in the PG restaurant and very nice it was too, spicy mushroom and extra chilli omelette. Today’s Daily Programme Can Be Found Here It’s our last full day aboard Queen Anne and we have a pretty hectic schedule today. All three Insights lecturers are in action. First up though, was breakfast, I’d ordered kedgeree again, It was delicious. For some reason we’d not received tonight’s menu last evening so we weren’t sure whether to order the Dover Sole again, there was a possibility, albeit slim, that tandoori lamb cutlets might feature but they didn’t so Dover Sole was ordered for tonight’s dinner. The first of today’s Insights lectures was Keith Appleyard talking about Bletchley Park and
It’s always sad to be leaving the ship, more so when you’ve been having an excellent cruise. Typically we slept in on our last morning, breakfast was an early affair ending at 08:30 so it was a bit of a rush getting in the shower, dressed and everything stashed in the hand luggage and ready for our 09:30 departure. The breakfast menu is more limited for disembarkation, missing the many eggs benedict variations but that didn’t matter as I had planned to have my second ‘Full English’ of the cruise which was delicious and fortified me for the journey home.
