Today’s Daily Programme is here ….
We lost an hour overnight with the clocks going forward in anticipation and arrival at Cadiz, and after a leisurely breakfast, we headed up to the Grills Terrace to get some of the last sunshine. It was nice when the sun was out, but very fresh whenit went behind a cloud, as the wind was fresh. When it got too cold, we went down to the Grills Lounge for a coffee to warm up.

After lunch in the QG dining room we went back up to the terrace hoping that things had warmed up a little. It was slightly warmer so we managed an hour or so before heading downstairs to the Carinthia Lounge for the Afternoon Trivia. We were unable to match the dizzy heights of a couple of days ago, only scoring 16/20 versus a winning score of 20. Maybe we’ll be better tomorrow. Jane headed up to to the Commodore Club, but I was feeling a little unwell, so went back to the room for a lie down, which sounds far more dramatic than it was. Apparently there’s lots of gastro intestinal issues around on the ship at the moment. No one is officially saying the Norovirus word, but that’s where the consensus is. We’ve not seen any evidence ourselves, other than a single example where the cleaning staff were cleaning up after an “accident” in the Kings Court buffet. We have noticed the enhanced sanitary requirements, the launderettes are closed, and you are funnelled towards the sinks on entering the Buffet, and there’s no self service. Hopefully they will get it in hand before long.
We had a lot of “off menu” items going on at dinner. A second go at the tequila king prawns, as they were so nice the first time around. Jane also had Bananas Foster, and I flambeed peaches.
